A lot of players are interested in landing somewhere they can be in good shape for the future.
One of those players could be Patriots cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, who has been linked to several teams.
“I think the Patriots are going to do something really special, to put a guy in the right situation,” Rodgers-Cooper told Bleacher Report.
“They’ve got a bunch of good players.
They’ve got some really good quarterbacks and they’ve got all those young players.
I think it’s going to be a special time.
You just have to wait and see.”
Rodgers-Comartie was one of the first players the Patriots drafted in 2016 and is one of their top cornerbacks.
He has started every game this season and has totaled 35 tackles, three interceptions and a fumble recovery.
The 26-year-old is currently on injured reserve and has yet to play in a regular-season game this year.
Rodgers is one player who has the potential to be an immediate impact for the Patriots.
His ability to be physical and play in space could help his chances to earn a roster spot.
Rodgers-Cuomarti has played cornerback at various levels, but he was most often used in nickel or dime packages, with his speed and coverage ability making him an attractive option in those situations.
In addition to his experience and size, Rodgers-cooper is one who has some potential to make an immediate splash.
His athleticism, size and physical tools are very similar to former NFL safety Eric Berry, who was drafted by the Patriots in the first round in 2014.
Berry was able to develop into a premier safety in New England.
It is possible Rodgers-comarty could become a similar player.
The Patriots could certainly use more experience along the defensive line.
Cornerback Dominique A. Rodgers is currently a free agent, but the team has shown interest in signing him as well.
The team could be interested in signing a player who could play multiple positions, which would allow them to add another cornerback and play the same defensive system at multiple positions.
